I'm in the spirit of the season!
I dragged my Christmas cup out of the back of the cupboard (it's the biggest, most wonderfully Christmassy cup!), started going through my Christmas recipes, and got the hubs to bring down all the boxes of Christmas stuff from the attic.
This afternoon, in keeping with the spirit, I needed something Christmassy for tea. Not wanting to venture out of doors, I scoured the cupboards and came up with a really yummy Christmas tea. I call it Candy Cane Tea, for obvious reasons:
Candy Cane Tea
1/2 stick of cinnamon
1/2 tsp grated orange peel
1 tsp tea leaves Steep cinnamon, orange peel and tea leaves together for 5 minutes. Pour into cup. Drop in one small candy cane. I don't know if you can see in the picture, but the candy cane melting turned my golden tea red.
Note: you can use dried orange peel from the spice section of your grocery store instead of fresh orange peel.
Also, I used golden yunnan for the tea, and it is truly delish.
Next up, Christmas coffee!
Thank's for the recipe i am excited to have it own my own candy teas is really sound interesting! :)
