I wonder why so many tea lovers are also cat lovers? There sure do seem to be a lot of us around. Well, I'm actually a sucker for almost any animal, cats, dogs (heh, typo'd "gods"... is that some freudian lingerie or what!), bunnies, birds... but at present I just have my two doggers. My cats have gone on to kitty heaven. Since I'm not real sure my canine children could handle having a cat in the house, I enjoy other people's cats when I need a "kitty-fix", the same way I enjoy other people's children. These are the sites I visited last night, some more satisfying to the kitty-itch than others.
I got a belly laugh from this: A note from Piper to her daddy. It starts...
Dear Daddy,
As much as I appreciate your filling the three tall water bowls and the one on the floor, there are times ...
Well, I don't want to spoil it. Just go read. It's a hoot. Very satisfying. There's even a photo of Piper in action.
Then there's the Cat Tea Corner, which I've linked to for their tea clipart. There are only two categories of clipart there: tea and cats. I guess we know what they love.
I googled "cats and tea" and turned up a strange bag of stuff:
- There's something called Cats Claw Tea, which sounds like it could cure just about anything from the description. Excessive hyperbole always makes me suspicious.
- This strange little poem called cats and tea. I tried, but I just don't get it. Need more coffee, I guess.
- An article on Tea Tree Oil and it's toxicity to cats.
- A Day in Hanna's World which tags itself as a place where "every house has a porch, everybody drinks tea and has at least two cats", but I couldn't find many posts about tea or cats. Come on people! How can I get my kitty fix if you don't post pictures and funny stories about your furry friends??
I did find a couple of highly satisfying website/blogs for cat pictures and stories, unconnected to tea: BloggingCat.com, Carnival of the Cats, and It's Raining Again (especially amusing: Bad Day to Be a Cat)
That's enough for my feline fix. For today.
I'm a cat-lover from Israel. Here's a post of mine about a special cat I know (not mine).

Hello!
Just wanted to thank you for giving the two-cat mafia such exposure!
And BTW - it just so happens that our girl-cat loves tea, and has no compunction about stealing sips from my mug when I'm otherwise occupied. Must be warm though - too hot or too cold and she has the nerve to complain!
Stay happy, sane and wise!

I am a tea lover and a dog person, but you are right, many tea people are cat people. Hope you'll stop by my blog too. :-)

Intersting correlation. It's be even more interesting were some academic type to study the correlation more systematically—but of course! Someone, somewhere probably has!
:-)
Three cats, two dogs here. Cats entirely inside, dogs outside (/large/ furry critters designed for outside--yeh it's where they belong. :-)
BTW, you heard the one about the dyslexic agnostic who wasn't sure there was a dog?
