I love catching animals contemplating their navals. I wonder what's going on in there. Cats have the Jellicle explanation, of course, and we know they're contemplating the thought of the thought of the thought of their names. But dogs? What CAN they be thinking of?
My Pennie is actually very cat-like. She will sit in front of a mouse-house for hours, staring. Waiting patiently. But in this moment, she was just drifting away, thinking deep thoughts.
A kitty contemplation moment for Biscuit.
I'm not actually sure Ginger was thinking here. She might have been falling asleep.
Dakota, the queen of disdain. I think she wears this "Leave me alone, I'm thinking" expression just to make us two-leggers feel inferior.
Don't forget this week's Ark, Carnival of the Dogs, and Carnival of the Cats (at Watermark this week)!
I don't know how you manage to get all the pet photos without the "flashlight eyes" effect! Just yesterday I took several photos of my guys (cats) and in each photo, their eyes make them look ... well ... unholy! Egad.
Great shots! Keep them coming.
Ed and I often wonder just what they're contemplating as they sit and stare. I'd love to get into their mind just for a hour a day.
