Today I pay homage to this most blessed time of the year - when the EGG arrives. The Cadbury Creme Egg, that is. This delicious cream-filled chocolate yummy was introduced by Cadbury brothers in the early 1920's, but the Creme Egg as we know it today was not made until 1971. I came to the table late on this one. I didn't discover The Egg until 1990, after which it rapidly became one of my Reasons For Living.
I wait for this time of the year with great anticipation. And when The Eggs finally arrive, celebration time!! And I grieve when the season ends and The Eggs are no longer available. A period of mourning is observed. While they are abundant, I buy them in (I'm somewhat embarassed to say) large quantities, but I do of course share them with special friends.
The Cadbury website is having a contest where you can win a 3-pack. Pffffft. A 3-pack? Piddly, inconsequential. Get serious. How about a case!
