Display Teas

Display teasI've been doing a lot of planning for next month's tea party.  I think I've got the menu set, so now I'm thinking of decor.  I've decided to put a small bowl on each table with one of these "display tea" flowers in it.  These teas from Adagio are actually a cluster of leaves tied together so that as they unfurl, they reveal a lovely flower in the center.

They're so beautiful, I wish my photographs did them justice.  I'm especially loving the Jasmine, which opens into an off-white bloom, as you see here.  And the scent is heavenly!  I only hope I don't overwhelm my guests with the scent of jasmine in every room.

I also got a black tea called Red Bloom which unfortunately didn't photograph well in the glass pot, but I took a closeup of the pink (not red) flower, and it's gorgeous.

I think I prefer the Red Bloom tea for flavor, but I MUCH prefer the jasmine scent, and how delicate it looks in a white bowl.

I love them too...i am stocking up some for spring tea party. i am looking at www.teacuppa.com 20 over display tea selections. have 5 selections in my mind now.

You should try the display teas from Kasora Reserve Teas. They are not only delicious... but most beautiful!

I love these teas! I buy them all the time as gifts, and trust me, nobody is ever not excited to get them as gifts. If you want the best selection, check out www.kasora.com
I'm not affiliated with the company, but I've been using them for a while, and they're great.

My friend Suzette prepared tea with the Jasmine bloom a couple of weeks ago. You are right - the pictures don't do it justice, and it is so much fun to watch the tea "bloom"!

Oh, wow - those are excellent ideas. Very lovely!

O-ooo How beautiful..
..Almost puts one in the mood to "read tea-leaves"..
(smile)...just kidding ;)

Thank you Christine, it seems it is time to buy a gift for myself.

I can't speak about the green or flavored tea collection. The black tea starter kit looks to have a good assortment of stuff to try. I do have the little one-serve teapot and I love that. I blogged about it somewhere ... ah, here it is.

HTH!

How beautiful the 'didplay flowers' are.
I checked out the link to Adagio and am interested in the starter kit they offer. Have you any input about it I would be interested in?
