10 Commandments of Tea
After the 23rd Psalm and the Coffee Hymn, folx might think I only worship at the coffee altar de caffeine. It ain't so!
(Preface: "And Moses came down from the mountain carrying a stone tablet and a handful of leaves. He saw the people cavorting with unsavory drink. And he said unto them, henceforth, thou shalt drink the beverage made from these leaves, and he who followeth these 10 commandments shall feel right good in the sight of the Lord.")
- Thou shall have no substitutes or false idols to worship. Instant tea is right forbidden.
- Thou shall say steeped, not brewed.
- Thou shall select water with care, avoiding hard or chlorinated, and thou shalt not re-boil water for tea.
- Thou shall sanitize equipment before each run.
- Thou shalt not slurp your tea from your saucer.
- Thou shall understand the four different types of tea: Green, Oolong, White and Black.
- Thou shall be guilt free; tea is natural and healthful.
- Thou shall know how to spell Polyphenol.
- Thou shall drink tea often.
- When thou canst drink tea, thou mayest drink coffee, but thou dasn't drink instant coffee. Ever.
